LINDSAY Stalzer was in the zone as F2 Logistics subdued United Auctioneers Inc.-Army, 25-17, 25-21, 25-16, to enter the win column in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference yesterday at the Philsports Arena.

As Kalei Mau was dealing with cramps, Stalzer took charge with 24 points and 10 receptions to help the Cargo Movers arrest a two-match losing skid, while handing the Lady Troopers a third straight loss.

Despite the victory, F2 Logistics coach Benson Bocboc was still not convinced with the straight-set romp.

“Well, a win is a win. Pero yung ipinakita doon sa loob, medyo tight pa ano. Medyo pigil pa yung galaw and marami pa ring lapses, hindi ko masasabi iilan ano, pero marami,” said Bocboc.

“So nagkataon na Army ang nakalaban but we will take the win to boost the team’s confidence. We have to work harder in the next few games,” he added.

Mau finished with eight points before sitting out in the entire third set due to cramps, while Kim Kianna Dy had two blocks for an eight-point outing for the Cargo Movers.

Ivy Lacsina, the UAAP champion from National University who was acquired by F2 Logistics during the conference break, tallied a match-best three blocks to finish with seven points and collected five digs.

Libero Dawn Macandili, back in harness after missing the first two matches, tallied 13 digs and more importantly, she provided stability in the Cargo Movers’ floor defense and coverage, while Kim Fajardo tossed in 13 excellent sets.

Jovelyn Gonzaga led the Lady Troopers had seven points and 11 digs, Royse Tubino chipped in six points while setter Ivy Perez had two blocks to finish with five points.

Canadian Laura Condotta, who recorded five kills, played more like of a libero with a 11-dig, 11-reception effort.

Meanwhile, the women of college volleyball take the spotlight today in the V-League Collegiate Championship at the Paco Arena.
