End of the road for woman tagged in carnapping case

CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas — The combined forces of the Laurel Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit-Batangas police Provincial Office (BPPO), and 2nd Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company (BPMFC) nabbed a woman wanted for alleged carnap in Bgy. Poblacion 2, Laurel, Batangas.

A report by BPPO Officer-In-Charge Col Pedro D. Soliba to PRO-CALABARZON (Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) Acting Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Jose Melecio C. Nartatez, Jr. said the suspect is a 40-year-old unemployed resident of Bgy. Leviste, Laurel.

The suspect was collared on the strength of an arrest warrant for allegedly violating R.A. 6539 or “The Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972 issued by the 4th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 3 of Batangas City, Batangas dated September 28.

The court recommended a P300,000 bail for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
