BULACAN gubernatorial candidate Willy Sy-Alvarado said he wants the restoration of effective governance and efficient public service to help the province recover from various problems, including the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Alvarado, Presiding Officer of the Sangguniang Panglalawigan, said the country needs experienced and capable leaders to run the province.

Alvarado said this was the reason why President Rodrigo Roa Duterte called him to help bare plans to find out solutions to the problems besetting the nation.

In his nine years as governor, Alvarado said he was very proud that he contributed hugely in addressing the nation’s woes.

He lamented why patients are forced to pay and asked to buy their medicines when there is P10 million monthly revolving funds from President Duterte.

He said such situation did not happen during his stint as governor.
