Couple shot dead at home
A 47-YEAR-OLD contractor and his live-in partner were shot to death inside their house Saturday in Alitagtag, Batangas.
Alitagtag Municipal Police Station chief Capt. Ernie Bilog Delos Santos identified the victims as Allan Hosena, contractor; and his live-in partner Veronica Boragay, 61, both residents of Bgy. Dominador East, Alitagtag.
Barangay chairman Jimy Castillo informed the police of the murder of the live-in partners at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
An investigation conducted by SSgt. Adrian Marasigan Catoni showed that Hosena was outside his house when a man armed with a cal. 45 pistol appeared and shot the victim.
Hosena, despite his wound, ran inside the house but was chased by the suspect, who fired more shots to finish him off.
Hosena died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds.
Boragay, who was inside the house and witnessed the killing of Hosena, was also shot several times by the suspect.
The gunman fled on a motorcycle driven by a cohort.
Neighbors rushed the “couple” to Martin Marasigan District Hospital in Cuenca town, where the two were declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.
Personnel of the Scene of the Crime Office processed the crime scene.
Police theorized the killing was business-related.
