Construction worker killed in front of kin, kids

TANZA, Cavite — A 43-year-old construction worker was shot dead during a drinking session with his relatives in Barangay Bagtas on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

Local police identified the victim as Celedinio Manilingan Mintealto, 43, resident of Phase 1A Carissa Homes Brgy. Bagtas here.

The unidentified assailant was wearing a white shirt, leather black jacket, cargo shorts and a black bull cap.

Police Sergeant Jonathan A. Lagario, in charge of the case, said investigation showed that the victim was drinking with his relatives in front of their house at the Carissa Homes when the suspect appeared armed with a short gun and fired shots.

The victim’s children witnessed the fatal shooting incident.

Police are already conducting a follow up investigation.
