ISINIWALAT ni Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray na marami raw nagsasabi sa kanya na matakot siya sa pagtanda dahil sa industriyang kinabibilangan niya.

Sa kanyang Instagram broadcast channel, naikuwento ng beauty queen na noong nasa 20s pa lamang ang kanyang edad ay marami ang sumubok na taniman siya ng takot sa pagtanda kapag nasa 30s na ang kanyang edad.

“I just wanted to share lang, in my 20s, maybe it was the industry I’m in, or maybe being a woman? But I had sooo many people put the fear of ‘aging out’ on me. Like as soon as I was in my 30s so much would change daw,” sey ni Catriona.

Saad pa ng Miss Universe, ngayong nasa 30s na siya ng kanyang buhay ay naramdaman niyang mas confident at capable na siya taliwas sa sinasabi sa kanya noon.

“But now that I’m here, I [have] no idea what they were talking about. I feel so much more capable. I’m more confident and assured in myself – cause I know myself better. I’ve learned to listen to my inner voice, and validate my own vision,” pahayag ng beauty queen.

“I really don’t understand why society wants to shame aging cause it’s a beautiful process – the journey of coming into your own, of realizing your potential, of taking ownership of your story,” pagpapatuloy pa niya.

“So please, if you’re in your teens, 20s – don’t subscribe to the narrative that you have a ‘best before date’. Cause you don’t. And you won’t. Life is a gift at any stage. And it’s a [privilege] to grow old,” ani Catriona.
