THE Cordillera Police Regional Office in partnership with different government agencies and the Baguio City Hall has agreed to help protect and preserve the Baguio Animal Breeding and Research Center or BABRC, the Journal Group learned on Sunday.

Cordillera police director, Brigadier General Ronald O. Lee said he has signed a memorandum of agreement regarding the BABRC protection with Agriculture Secretary William Dar; local DAR chief, DR. Cameron Odsey and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong.

The officials aired their commitment to help protect and preserve the animal breeding facility which is a known tourist attraction and a source of livelihood in the area.

Brig. Gen. Lee committed to fully secure the facility prior to the planting of 40 pine trees in the area.

“Being protector of peace, be assured that we will be doing our part and we fully commit ourselves for the execution of the mandates this MOA will be entrusting to us,” the Cordillera police director said.
