Cagayan police arrest 3 for drugs, rape
CAGAYAN Valley policemen arrested three suspects for different crimes in separate operations this week, Police Regional Office 2 director Brigadier General Christopher Birung said on Saturday.
The official said one of the suspects, identified as ‘Jonas,’ was arrested in Centro Sur in Camalaniugan, Cagayan.
Jonas’ arrest led to the seizure of shabu worth P14,000 and several drug paraphernalia.
The 2nd suspect, described as a government employee in Bayombong, Nueva Viscaya, was arrested in a buy-bust and confiscation of six plastic packets containing nearly P3,000 worth of shabu.
Birung said the 3rd suspect, identified as alias Harold, 72, was nabbed for rape and violation of Republic Act 7610 or the anti-child abuse law. The rape suspect was arrested in Barangay San Antonio in Aparri, Cagayan.
