DAVAO City Vice Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte has full confidence in the ability of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. as the next president of the Philippines.

At the recently concluded Kudaraten Festival 2022 on Saturday, Baste took the place of his sister Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, who could not attend the said event, and boldly announced his support for the BBM-SARA UniTeam.

For Baste, Marcos is the only candidate running for the presidency in the coming elections in May who is capable of continuing the good programs and projects successfully initiated by his father, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

“Kaya nga si Mayor Inday ang gusto niyang Presidente si Bongbong Marcos because Bongbong Marcos is the only way forward to continue this narrative,” explained Baste.

Baste added that he has a lot of trust in Marcos and what former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. started but unfortunately neglected by the following administrations.

Baste held that Marcos can continue what his father PRRD has started for a more progressive country.

“Ito kwento lang ‘to pero malaki talaga ang tiwala ko, tiwala talaga ako d’yan because we can see remnants of the Marcos administration before, hindi lang natuloy. We all know that, kita nating lahat, if you want consistency na katulad nung ginawa ni PRRD, then I cannot see any other candidate kundi si Bongbong Marcos lang talaga,” said Baste.

Like his father PRRD, the Davao City vice mayor testified that Marcos had a good vision for the country and that he is running for president not for personal interest and not for one person only but for the good of every Filipino.

“Ambitious, but not for the individual, it is for the collective good of the country, iyon man talaga nakita natin,” according to the President’s son.

Baste also thanked the residents and local government unit officials of Sultan Kudarat for the warm welcome he received, for their support to his father’s leadership, and for backing the BBM-Sara UniTeam.

“Maraming salamat for the warm welcome and for accepting my sister. Marami ring salamat sa pagtanggap ninyo sa aming pamilya dito. I’m very thankful sa inyo, sa inyong pinakita na suporta lalo na sa dinala na presidente ng aking kapatid, si Bongbong Marcos. Sa inyong pinakita na suporta maraming salamat,” the vice mayor concluded.
