Alfonso intensifies implementation of health guidelines amid COVID cases hike

ALFONSO, Cavite – On Monday,the local chief executive here released guidelines for implementation in their town from September 21 to 30 due to the continuing rise of positive COVID-19 cases.

Based on Executive Order No. 61 s. 2021, only one member per family or authorized person outside residents (APOR), aged 18 to 65, can go out of the house for important transactions such as buying food and necessities, going to the hospital or buying medicine, bank transactions , going to work, transacting with government agencies, vaccination, National ID registration and other “essential transactions” under themodified enhanced community quarantine or MECQ.

Alcoholic beverages may only be purchased 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and can only be consumed indoors. Curfew hours are from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Mayor Randy Salamat reminded his constituents that those who are “partially” and “fully vaccinated” are not “exempted” from the enforced rules. He said there will also be checkpoints in all barangays in Alfonso.

Alfonso has 369 active COVID-19 cases based on the September 18 bulletin with 1,467 confirmed cases, 1,043 recovered and 54 fatalities.
