ASIAN Institute of Maritime Studies made it five out of five by beating De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, 86-84, while Olivarez College mounted a remarkable comeback from a 19-point deficit to subdue PATTS College of Aeronautics 80-68 in the 30th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) basketball tournament at the Bestlink Gymnasium in Quezon City.

Karlos Lapira, who tallied 20 points and six rebounds in the game against St. Dominic College of Asia, delivered a double-double performance with 24 points on 6-of-15 shooting and 11 rebounds in just 26 minutes of play for coach Kiko Flores.

Danny Datwin contributed 16 points and secured 10 rebounds, while Gushtin Gurrea made a notable impact with 12 points and 10 rebounds in AIMS’ win.

Rogelio Calagos led the scoring for DLSU-D with 22 points on 9-of-20 from the field, while adding 15 rebounds, seven assists, and six steals for coach Tito Reyes.

Ronroy Bunda and JL Rasonable had 18 and 15 points, respectively.

Olivarez College came alive in the second half and battled back from 19-point deficit to take down PATTS.

The Sea Lions outpaced the Seahorses in the third quarter, 31-14, securing an 11-point lead at 58-49.

Olivarez continued their scoring spree, extending their lead to 19 points in the final frame, 70-51.

In another game, defending champions Immaculada Concepcion College rolled to their third win after demolishing the Lyceum of the Philippines University -Laguna, 85-50.

Alfred Flores spearheaded the Blue Hawks’ scoring efforts, tallying 24 points while shooting an impressive 6-of-7 from beyond the arc.

.Flores also contributed eight assists and grabbed three rebounds in 27 minutes of play for coach Ogie Gumatay.

In the final match, Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite notched their first win after a 93-78 victory over Bestlink College of the Philippines.

Kaiden Padilla led the balance attack for EAC-Cavite with 17 points and six rebounds while CJ Quirap had 15 points for coach Azlie Guro.

.Julito Estoya scores 28 points and nine rebounds for coach Edwin Punio-mentored BCP.
