P.4-M-worth of mobile phones carted away in Ecija heist
JAEN, Nueva Ecija – Almost half a million pesos worth of mobile phones, flat screen television sets, and laptops, including P10,000 in cash were carted away by still unidentified suspects who broke into a cellphone marketing shop here on Monday night, police here said.
Robbed was the Basic Marketing Cell-shop owned by businesswoman Jocelyn De Leon, in Bgy. Dampulan here.
Police head Major Domingo Resma Jr. said the robbery was discovered by a store employee when she opened the store at 8:00 a.m.
Stolen were 53 units of mobile phones, flat screen TV sets, two laptops, and cash amounting to P10,000, all totaling P457,000.
Police investigator Corporal Jorge Magtalas said follow-up investigation and checking of CCTV (closed-circuit television) footage in the crime scene are still ongoing for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
