KAMPO HENERAL PACIANO RIZAL – A truck driver and a waiter wanted for murder cases were arrested in a manhunt operation in Calauan, Laguna.

Police Col. Cecilio R. Ison Jr., acting provincial director of Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) reported to Calabarzon (Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Antonio C. Yarra the collared suspects both residing in Purok 5 Bgy. Sta Maria, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

Calauan Police Chief Lt. Col. Philip Toquero Aguilar said the two suspects were served by an arrest warrant issued by Presiding Judge Rene D. Natividad of Regional Trial Court, Branch 107, Calamba City, Laguna for murder with no bail recommended.

In a separate operation of Calauan Police, a rank no. 2 most wanted person in the municipal level of Calauan and provincial level of Batangas PPO was arrested in Bgy. San Roque, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, while another suspect was also arrested the same day at Bgy. Poblacion 1, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.

Based on the reports, the suspects were allegedly involved in a shooting incident on December 28, 2020, along the National Road, Bgy. Lamot 2, Calauan, Laguna.

Both are now in the custody of Calauan Police, while the issuing court will be informed of the arrest of the accused.

P/Col. Ison Jr., said, “Laguna PNP [Philippine National Police] continues to conduct manhunt operations to hold accountable those wanted persons who violated laws.”
