POLICE Regional Office-Cordillera (PROCor) Director Brigadier General Ronald O. Lee on Wednesday announced the arrest of two top drug targets in Baguio City following separate buy-bust operations.

He identified the two suspects as Arjay Simeon, 25, and Rey Christopher Abero, 38.

Brig. Gen. Lee said that undercover officers arrested Simeon from the Baguio City Police Office after he sold nearly P5,000 worth of shabu to an undercover officer in Barangay Burnham-Legarda last Sunday.

The suspect also yielded some P100 worth of dried marijuana leaves and the buy-bust money when frisked.

On the other hand, Abero was arrested in a sting in Abanao Street by Baguio City Police Drug Enforcement Unit members during an entrapment operation on the same day.

The suspect yielded an estimated P6,000 worth of the so-called “poor man’s cocaine” or shabu and the marked money paid to him by the poseur.

Brig. Gen. Lee said that the two are now facing non-bailable charges for selling and possessing prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. By Alfred Dalizon
