OIL PRICE HIKE
AFTER two consecutive weeks of oil price rollback, motorists will be greeted with pump price hike today.
Major oil firm Chevron Philippines announced on Monday an increase of its gasoline products by P1.40 per liter, diesel by P0.50 and kerosene by P0. 20 effective at 12:01 a.m.
Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell, two of the “Big 3” local oil companies, along with independent oil firms, Seaoil Philippines and Flying V, also announced on Monday the same price adjustments on their gasoline, diesel and kerosene effective at 6 a.m. on Holy Tuesday.
PTT Philippines, Unioil Philippines, Petro Gazz, Total Philippines, Jetti Oil, and Eastern Petroleum in their separate advisories said they will move their pump prices of their gasoline and diesel products by the same increments at 6 a.m. Tuesday while Clean Fuel at 4:01 p.m.
PTT Communication Officer Jay Julian said the latest increase of prices of petroleum products reflect movements in the international oil market.
