9-vehicle collision causes heavy traffic on Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road

SILANG, Cavite – The collision of 9 vehicles in the area of the PNP Academy (PNPA) along the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road here in Bgy. Tartaria caused heavy traffic around 4:28 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2022.

According to officer-on-case P/Cpl. Ralph Jayson P. Santos, the driver of an Isuzu trailer truck, allegedly lost his brakes, hitting all the vehicles ahead of him.

An injured driver of a Toyota Corolla Altis and the driver of a Toyota Avanza were immediately brought by Silang Rescue to Qualimed Hospital for medical treatment.

Six other vehicles were damaged, but the drivers and passengers were unhurt.

Meanwhile, in Naic, Cavite, three vehicles were involved in a road crash along Naic-Indang Road, Bgy., Halang, Naic, around 12:40 p.m., June 20, 2022.

According to case investigator PSSg. Rodrigo C. Veloso III, a tricycle, was traveling along Naic-Indang Road heading to Bgy., Calubcob direction when he was bumped by a motorcycle (MC) driven by Edwin Escala, 26, of Belmont Homes, Halang, Naic, Cavite, who was traversing on the opposite road – overtook another vehicle fully occupying the opposite lane causing the accident.

The tricycle driver and his four passengers sustained multiple injuries and were immediately brought to San Lorenzo Hospital for medical treatment.

The MC driver and his female back rider were brought to GEAM Hospital, Trece Martires City, Cavite, for treatment. The MC driver allegedly was driving without a license and not wearing a safety helmet.
