3 powerful grenades uncovered in Ilocos

A hand grenade and two rifle grenades were discovered and turned over to the police over the weekend in Bgy Gabao, Santiago, and Lubong, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur.
A police report said Sgt. Henry Alviento, assigned at Base Police PRO1, of Bgy Al-aludig, Santiago, reported to the Santiago PNP station that his nephew had found a hand grenade at their farmland in Bgy. Gabao, Santiago.
Santiago police and Alviento’s nephew recovered the grenade and turned it over to the local PNP ststion.
In San Vicente, Cristopher Pio, kagawad of Bgy. Lubong, San Vicente, turned over to San Vicente police two rifle grenades with markings AVA-0065 and AVA 0062-88.
A report said the rifle grenades were turned over to the kagawad by a constituent.
