23 nabbed for illegal gambling in Laguna
THE Laguna Police Provincial Office yesterday announced for the arrest of 23 suspects during anti-illegal gambling operations in the province.
Acting Provincial Director, PCol. Rogarth Campo reported to CALABARZON Regional Director PBGen Eliseo DC Cruz said the operations were conducted in one city and three towns.
The San Pablo City Police Station led by PLTCol. Gary Alegre, police chief, said identified the arrested suspects in San Pablo City as Jayvee De Villa, 25, Bonifacio Panginahug, 39, Leo Manalo, 52 , Gilbert Iranso ,40, Kevin Opia, 29 , Alvin Obay, 46, Kim Bryan, 22, Ronnie Pasahol, 38, Joel Herrira, 42.
The suspects were caught engaged in illegal cockfighting locally known as tupada.
Confiscated were two fighting cocks, two gaffs and P 2,500in different denominations.
In Calauan, Laguna, arrested also for illegal cockfighting were Junrey Barrameda, 42, Joseph Estrada, 42 , and Abel Garinga, 39.
Confiscated were a fightingcock, gadd and P340 bet money in different denominations.
In Pila, Laguna arrested on Jan. 1 were Emil Perol, 63, Luisito Valentin, 47, Jeron Pura, 23, Jericho Valentin, 20. Seized were P347 betting money in different denominations.
In Mabitac, Laguna arrested Wilfredo De Luna, 39, Wally Macatangay, 48, Michael Antecristo, 48, Wilmer Ambrosio, 53 ,Rolando Rosana, 60, Mark Christian Sollorano, 28, and Jonathan Ripia, 31. Confiscated were three fighting cocks, two gaffs and P1,110 in different denominations.
