8 hurt in 8-vehicle accident in QC
EIGHT people were injured after an accident involving eight vehicles occurred in Quezon City on Tuesday morning.
A report from the Traffic Sector 3 of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) showed the mishap occurred at around 8:15 a.m. along the southbound lane of the flyover in Barangay Escopa 3.
Probers said the accident occurred after a 10-wheeler truck driven by 42-year-old Franklin Caramihan hit a Toyota Fortuner sport utility vehicle while traversing the said flyover.
Six more vehicles were hit during the mishap.
The QCPD said eight people sustained minor bruises and were treated by rescuers at the scene.
Appropriate charges are being readied against the truck driver who is now under police custody.
