2 dead in Calamba MC crash
TWO workers were riding a motorcycle (MC) that lost control and crashed into a mango tree, and a concrete pole died on Sunday along the National Highway of Barangay Bagong Kalsada, Calamba City, Laguna.
P/Lt. Col. Alexy Sonido, OIC (Officer-in-Charge) of Calamba City Police, identified the victims as Roger Abad Postanes, 24, of Purok IB Bgy. Tadlac Los Banos, Laguna and Redster Torerit Carranza, 23, of 310 Purok 5, Bgy. Masile, Calamba City, Laguna.
According to the police investigation, the victims were both riding a black motorcycle from their place of work, both returning home when Postanes lost control of the motorcycle, causing them to crash into a mango tree around 9:00 p.m.
The two victims were rushed to a hospital by the responding Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) but were declared dead due to serious wounds on their heads and bodies.
