16 Noveleta bgys get kitchen wares for disaster preparedness
NOVELETA, Cavite. – In preparation for the rainy season, the local government distributed kitchen utensils and supplies to 16 barangays on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
In an interview, Mayor Dino Reyes Chua said the distribution of the kitchen equipment can be used for disasters during the rainy season.
“Itong paghahanda na ito ay para may mapakain agad ang bawat barangay na binaha tulad po ng Typhoon Paeng, na lahat po ng mga kababayan natin dito sa Noveleta ay stranded sa baha, nagutom dahil hindi makalabas ng kani-kanilang mga bahay,” said Mayor Dino Chua.
Chua also urged his constituents to be alert during the rainy season so that everyone is especially when it floods.
“Let’s continue to follow the weather and river updates of our local Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) forthe typhoon alert and water level of Ilang ilang river” Chua added.
