VoltesV“VOLTES V Legacy” started airing on May 8 and has a very successful run on GMA Telebabad. Now, after four months, it will have its finale week starting this Monday, to be replaced by “Maging Sino Ka Man” with Barbie Forteza and David Licauco.

They had a farewell presscon and in attendance are Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, Raphael Landico and their main antagonist, Martin del Rosario.

So what can they say about their experiences being part of such a big and expensive show like “Voltes V Legacy”?

“Siempre, malungkot kami na malapit nang matapos ang show na pinaghirapan namin,” says Miguel. “We worked on this for four years, tapos ngayon, ending na? But I am so grateful na naging bahagi ito ng buhay ko.”

He says being in ‘Voltes V Legacy’ will forever remain in his heart. “It’s a privilege to be part of this show. Later, puede ko itong ikuwento sa magiging apo ko na nagkaroon ako ng chance to play an anime character like Steve Armstrong. Memorable talaga ito, specially when we went to comicon in San Diego, California to represent it. Sobrang nakaka-proud siya at nakagala kami roon and we were able to visit the bar where ‘Top Gun’ was shot.” They were all so sad on their last shooting day. “Nag-iyakan kaming lahat sa last shooting day. Nagyakapan kami nang mahigpit. Ang feeling ko, natapos ang isang magandang chapter sa buhay ko. And I really gave my all sa role ko.”

Ysabel Ortega says she was asking for her helmet to be her souvenir from the show. “But mahigpit ang staff, ayaw nila, at ang ibinigay na lang was yung name tag namin sa aming uniform,” she says. “Definitely, being a part of ‘Voltes V Legacy’ is a real legacy for myself. This kind of show happens only once in our life, so twenty years from now, I’m sure na ipagmamalaki ko pa rin na naging Jamie Robinson ako in ‘Voltes V Legacy’.

Fans of the Miguel-Ysabel love team will be happy to know that they will next be seen in the movie, “Firefly”, with Dingdong Dantes, Alessandra de Rossi, Max Collins and Kokoy de Santos, produced by GMA Public Affairs.

So what’s the real score between them? “We really became much closer to each other,” says Miguel. “Pero definitely, hindi pa po kami magjowa. We are just enjoying being with each other and we continue to be supportive of another. Like me, nag-aaral ako ngayon and she’s putting up her own business so we are seeing each other grow outside of ‘Voltes V’ and it’s exciting.”
