Woman shot dead in P’que
A 35-YEAR-OLD woman was gunned down by still unidentified suspects Sunday evening in Parañaque City.
The body of the victim, a resident of Bagong Ilog St. Barangay Baclaran, was discovered by a concerned citizen in a prone position along Dimasalang Extension at around 8:10 p.m. with blood oozing from his head.
Operatives of Baclaran Police Sub-Station led by P/Capt. Mythor Santos immediately proceeded to the area for a follow-up operation, but they failed to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
Responding elements of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered two empty shells and a deformed slug for a caliber .45 pistol at the crime scene, which will be submitted to Southern Police District (SPD) Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination.
Initial investigation showed the victim sustained gunshot wounds in the head, while the motive behind the killing is yet to be determined.
Relatives of the victim said the woman was a former “drug user” and allegedly surrendered during “Oplan Tokhang.”
Police have yet to find witnesses who can provide a description of the suspects.
