Vhong transferred to Taguig jail
TELEVISION host Vhong Navarro, who was accused of rape by model Deniece Millinete Cornejo, has been transferred from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Detention Center to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) jail in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig.
“After completing all the required health protocols, Vhong Navarro has been transferred to BJMP in Taguig City at about [4:00 p.m.] (Monday),” the NBI Public Information Office said in a statement.
Navarro’s transfer came after the Taguig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) recently issued a commitment order for Navarro, Ferdinand H. Navarro, in real life.
On September 19, 2022, Navarro surrendered to the NBI after issuing a warrant of arrest against him.
Branch 69 Judge Loralei Datahan recommended no bail for Navarro’s temporary liberty.
Also, the Court of Appeals (CA) 14th Division, in a September 20, 2022 resolution, denied the motions for reconsideration and issuance of a status quo ante order sought by Navarro.
