‘Very encouraging’

MANY Filipinos, notably the poor across the country, are aware of the far-reaching effects of the various programs being implemented by the current Marcos government.

And remarkably a high proportion of the young Philippine population, now numbering more than 109 million, said that the administration is headed in the right track.

In fact, public confidence in the work performance of the government is “very encouraging,” according to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. last Tuesday.

President Marcos made the remarks after 85 percent of 1,200 adult Filipinos believe that his administration, which ends on June 30, 2028, is ln the right path.

The Chief Executive from Ilocos Norte was referring to the results of the Fourth Quarter 2022 “Tugon ng Masa Survey” conducted by OCTA Research from October 23 to 27.

“It’s of course very encouraging that people think that we are moving in the right direction,” said the only son and namesake of the late President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos.

The OCTA survey found that only six percent of the respondents disagreed that the Philippines, one of the world’s major manpower exporters, is heading in the right track.

What is certainly significant, according to many quarters, is that President Marcos’s crusading administration has just completed its first five months in office.

We agree with the Chief Executive that the results of the OCTA survey “prove that majority of Filipinos are satisfied with the performance” of the Marcos administration.

Without doubt, meeting the mushrooming needs of the more than 109 million Filipinos, especially the poor, is a gigantic undertaking, but it is not an impossible mission.

Kayang-kaya ‘yan ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr.
