AS promised, the city of San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan delivered an overwhelming victory for president-elect Bongbong Marcos Jr. and vice president-elect Sara Duterte in the recently-concluded national elections.

In a statement, San Jose Del Monte Representative Rida Robes, a member of PDP-Laban, is proud to say that the UniTeam tandem of Marcos and Duterte won in the whole Bulacan province.

In her city, Marcos obtained more than 65 percent of votes cast for president garnering more than 143,00 of the votes over his closest rival, Vice President Leni Robredo, who got more than 52,000 votes.

Duterte, on the other hand, got more than 61 percent of the total votes cast obtaining more than 134,000 over her closest rival, Senator Tito Sotto, who got only more than 43,000 votes.

It can be recalled that during the campaign, Robes vowed to campaign for Marcos and Duterte to ensure their victory.

Meanwhile, Robes also won via landslide for a third term in the House of Representatives.

For the whole of Bulacan, Marcos had more than 60 percent of votes garnering a total of 1,040,157 votes. Robes said this is the first time a presidential candidate obtained more than a million votes in Bulacan.

Duterte, on the other hand, obtained 881,722 votes or 51.5 percent of the total votes cast for vice president in the province of Bulacan.

“We are very happy that we were able to deliver an overwhelming win for our president-elect and our vice president-elect in our city of San Jose Del Monte and our province. But we would not have done it without our mayors, vice mayors and our parallel groups who went the extra mile to campaign for our candidates,” Robes said.

Robes said more than 21 mayors of vote-rich Bulacan expressed their support to the BBM-Sara Uniteam.

Robes also led various efforts to campaign for Marcos and Duterte in Bulacan which included among others a tricycle caravan all over the province and “Sara para sa Barangay” campaign where she met with parallel and sectoral officials in Bulacan.

Robes expressed full support to the incoming Marcos administration saying she will do her part in making sure she will support his legislative agenda in Congress.

“I know he will do well for the country and I will pray for him. I know he will do do good because he has a good heart and I will be here to support his legislative measures to help our country recover and bring a more inclusive and sustainable future for every Filipino,” Robes said.
