TRINKETS OF WISDOM FOR 2024
As we embark on a NEW YEAR, allow me to share with you all some poems from my #kasabihansakamalayan collection that could serve as trinkets of wisdom which you can ponder to help guide your journey this 2024. May our heavenly Father be your constant guide and companion, my dear friends and readers. You are always in my prayers.
2024 marks a NEW YEAR,
It’s a clean slate, so let’s be clear.
BEGIN the year with glee and a smile,
Always helping out with that extra mile.
BEGIN the year with a sense of hope,
And avoid depression as a dangerous slope.
BEGIN the year with love and affection,
Making Charity your mission and direction.
And BEGIN the year with Faith in your heart,
For putting God first is always a good start.
You are BLESSED not LUCKY,
For God’s love for you is fatherly.
You are BLESSED not LUCKY,
So stop superstition that makes you funny.
You are BLESSED not LUCKY,
Never let fate dictate your life’s journey.
You are BLESSED not LUCKY,
2024 for your will be abundant and healthy.
And, you are BLESSED not LUCKY,
So don’t act petty and earthly.
So this NEW YEAR always be ready,
To receive God’s grace for you are BLESSED not LUCKY.
If you want to sleep soundly at night,
FORGIVE.
If you want to be happy at work,
EXCEL.
If you want to have good friends,
DISCERN.
If you want to be healthy,
EXERCISE.
If you want to have a caring family,
LOVE.
If you want a meaningful life,
SHARE
And, if you want to have a strong faith.
PRAY.
Life has always two sides …
GOOD has four letters so is EVIL.
LOVE also has four letters so is HATE.
TRUTH has five letters so is LYING.
SMILE also has five letters so is TEARS.
GIVING has six letters so is OWNING
PRAYERS also has six letters so is ANXIETY.
So always choose POSITIVITY with ten letters vis-a-vis NEGATIVITY also with ten.
Through the virtue of LOVE,
We are able to forgive the unforgivable.
Through the virtue of HOPE,
We are able to smile amidst trials.
Through the virtue of FAITH,
We are able to transcend the mundane.
Through the virtue of PRUDENCE,
We are able to jump before we leap.
Through the virtue of JUSTICE,
We are able to give each his due.
Through the virtue of TEMPERANCE,
We are able to control the uncontrollable.
And, through the virtue of FORTITUDE,
We are able to conquer the fears that haunt us.
SEEK the goodness in others,
And you shall FIND mercy and compassion.
SEEK the value of work and labor,
And you shall FIND contentment.
SEEK the wisdom in knowledge,
And you shall FIND enlightenment.
SEEK the love of family and friends,
And you shall FIND companionship.
SEEK the positivity in pain and trials,
And you shall FIND comfort and serenity.
And SEEK the solace of faith,
For you shall FIND the embrace of God
