Trailer truck vs tanker truck, helper killed
A TRUCK helper died on the spot when the tanker truck he was riding in was accidentally hit by a trailer truck while traversing the highway in Rosario, Batangas Friday morning.
Rosario Municipal Police Station chief, Lt. Col Constancio M.Malaluan, Jr. identified the fatality as Rodel Baldeabilla.
Initial investigation showed the Isuzu trailer truck with plate No. BUC137 with trailer plate No. RHE836 driven by Roberto Calimag Grandozo, 41, married, and resident of Bgy. San Miguel, Burgos, Isabela accidentally hit the Isuzu tanker truck with plate No. XDR 373 driven by a 33-year-old Lloyd Rayos, of Bgy. Poblacion, San Francisco, Quezon alongside his helper on the national road in Bgy. Bagong Pook around 4:40 a.m.
Due to the big impact, the tanker truck sustained extensive damage, killing the helper immediately.
Both drivers did not sustain any injuries, police said.
A post mortem examination was conducted by Rosario town health officer Dra. Emilita Abacan.
