Top women in sports join Sports On Air

THE Women’s Month celebrations continue with “Sports On Air” hosting three more leading female sports achievers this Friday, March 18.

The three are boxing champion Narj Guro, who will battle Denise Castle of England for the World Boxing Council Atomweight Championship in Dubai on March 26; Marie Claire Adorna, who will represent the country in the Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam on May 12-23; and Leeana Bade, who will compete in the World Games Muaythai competition in Alabama, USA this July.

Guro, who will be accompanied by her coach Brix Flores, will talk about her chances against her British rival during the “Rising Sun Dubai” promotions at the Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai.

Adorna, who captured two gold medals in the SEA Games in Singapore in 2015 and Manila in 2019 , will discuss her chances in triathlon in the coming 31st SEA Games in Hanoi.

Bade, daughter of basketball legend Chris Bade, will share her thoughts on the coming world championship where she is entered as a wildcard through the efforts of the Muaytahi Association of the Philippines secretary-general Pearl Managuelod.

The forum will start at 10 a.m.

This will be the 12th episode of “Sports on Air Weekly”, the hottest sports program managed by veteransports journalists Ed Andaya of People’s Tonight, Ernest Leo Hernandez of SOA, Gerard Arce of Bulgar, Ivan Saldajeno of Philippine News Agency and Gab Ferreras of Sports Corner.PH.
