SM City Molino hosts medical mission
THE parking lot of SM City Molino in Cavite hosted SM Foundation’s medical mission last May with 296 beneficiaries. Dr. Blesilla Bertos, SM Foundation Senior Project Manager who handles medical missions recounted that during the medical mission, several patients were noted to have elevated blood pressure and advised to undergo further tests.
They underwent blood tests and 12 lead ECG to check for complications. They were prescribed medicines by the attending doctors. These prescriptions were provided by the medical mission pharmacy. Still, another beneficiary was found to be suffering from pneumonia.
She was given antibiotics, mucolytic and vitamins and advised to go for a follow-up check up at the local health center. The presence of a digital x-ray equipment at the SM Mobile Clinic helped in the detection of respiratory ailments of the patients. It also houses he ECG machine. The medical mission was able to dispense 417 medical service.
