Romualdez calls for peaceful BSKE elections
HOUSE Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez called on all candidates in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) this Monday to maintain a peaceful and orderly election.
Speaker Romualdez made the call due to reports that more than 20 BSKE candidates were killed across the country, just days before the election.
“Nakikiusap tayo sa lahat ng kandidato na siguraduhin na mapanatili nila ang kapayapaan sa kani-kanilang mga lugar”, according to Speaker Romualdez.
The leader of Congress explained,” magre-reflect sa inyo mismo na magulo ang inyong lugar at hindi ito maganda sa paningin ng inyong mga constituents”.
“Please refrain from violence at baka may madamay na mga inosente ninyong ka-barangay sa mga kaguluhan sa inyong lugar”, Speaker Romualdez added.
The lawmaker from Congress also encouraged the voters to choose wisely and vote for barangay and SK officials that they think will work for the good of their barangay and their constituents.
