Reskilling, upskilling ng mga OFW naselyuhan ng Pilipinas, Germany
NILAGDAAN na ng Pilipinas at Germany ang renewal sa “Cooperation Program” para sa reskilling at upskilling ng mga overseas Filipino workers.
Ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) at Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training ang lumagda sa kasunduan.
Sa joint press conference nina Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, sinabi nito na kinikilala ng dalawang bansa ang kontribusyon ng mga Filipino healthcare workers at iba pang OFWs.
“Noting Germany’s interest in expanded labor cooperation to include other Filipino skilled workers and professionals, the Philippines reaffirms our commitment to ensure the protection of the rights and welfare of Filipinos around the world,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
“Towards this end, our countries will sign the renewal of the Cooperation Programme between Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training during my visit here in Germany. Both sides are also working towards the conclusion of the Memorandum of Agreement on the Placement of Skilled Workers and other Professionals,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
Kabilang sa capacity building measures ang pagsasagawa ng thematic visits kada taon.
Nasa 35,930 Filipinos ang nasa Germany.
