QC cops nab 2 MWPs for illegal drugs, murder
QUEZON City police officers have arrested the no. 8 drug suspect in a buy-bust operation and a no. 7 “most wanted person” (MWP) for murder in separate locations in Quezon City.
Project 6 Police Station (PS 15) under P/Lt. Col. Norman T. Florentino, arrested a suspect, of Bgy. Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City, a rank no. 8 drug personality/MWP in the said police station.
The suspect was collared in a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of PS 15 in coordination with PDEA-NCR at about 3:00 p.m., September 8, 2022, along Agham Rd., Kalye Onse, Sitio San Roque, Bgy. Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City.
Recovered were more or less two grams of shabu valued at P13,600, a coin purse, and the buy-bust money.
He will be facing charges for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) under P/Lt. Col. Alex DJ Alberto arrested a no. 7 MWP for attempted murder with a warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Rose Sharon Santiago Cordero-Abila, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 129 Caloocan City.
The court of origin will be notified of the arrest of the accused.
“Kami po ay laging nakahanda at nakikiisa sa tungkulin at programa ng ating kapulisan sa Lungsod tungo sa payapa at progresibong komunidad,” said QC Mayor Joy Belmonte, as she lauded the police’s action against wanted suspects.
