PNP’s 3rd top man launches Project ‘KASIMBAYANAN’ in PRO2

CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY – Thw Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) jump-started Project KASIMBAYANAN or “Kapulisan, Simbahan at Sambayanan” at the Home of the Valley Cops Tuesday morning with Police Lieutenant General Dionardo Carlos, chief of Directorial Staff as guest of honor and speaker.

During the orientation which was attended by religious leaders serving as life coaches for PNP personnel, Pastor Lee Oliver, National Convenor of KASIMBAYANAN elaborated on how the project was conceptualized.

Pastor Oliver said KASIMBAYANAN was formulated to further strengthen the Squad Weekly Interactive Meeting (SWIM) of the PNP.

He also discussed the roles of the PNP, religious practitioners and barangay officials who are the prime movers of the project.

B/Gen. Crizaldo Nieves, Region 2 police director, pointed out that through the project, life coaches and barangay officials together with the PNP squad leaders will schedule routine visits to families and people in the barangay for the conduct of counseling and other God-centered, service-oriented and family-based initiatives depending on their needs.

Nieves said this aims to uplift the moral and spiritual well-being of every member of the society to build a law-abiding and God-fearing community.

Police Lieutenant General Carlos recognized the deep sense of volunteerism and dedicated service of the life coaches in the region who are taking part in this cause. TCDS also emphasized the importance of sustaining the community spirit which can be realized through the implementation of Project KASIMBAYANAN.

The launching activity was attended by 75 life coaches from Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Isabela and Cagayan.

It was also attended by Police Brigadier General Edgar Cacayan, Deputy Regional Director for Administration and Police Colonel Romaldo Bayting, Deputy Regional Director for Operations.

The activity was facilitated by the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division led by Police Colonel Mario Malana.
