PH logs 7,174 new COVID-19 cases, records 204 new deaths

CNN Philippines — The country recorded on Sunday 7,174 new COVID-19 infections, said the Department of Health in its latest bulletin.

The nationwide tally is now at 1,101,990, where 61,294 or 5.6% are active cases. The death toll is now at 18,472, after 204 more patients died from the virus. The number of COVID-19 survivors also climbed to 1,022,224, with 9,197 more recoveries reported.

Meanwhile, the Department of Foreign Affairs reported three new COVID-19 infections among Filipinos abroad, raising the number to 18,540 in 94 countries. The fatality count among overseas Filipinos is now at 1,160, with only one new death recorded. The survivor count in the sector remains at 11,349, said the DFA.
