Perpetual Help, Arellano arrange title match
UNIVERSITY of Perpetual Help System Dalta and Arellano University dispute the boys title after sweeping their respective semifinals foes in the NCAA juniors volleyball tournament yesterday.
Janrey Solamillo had four service aces for a 17-point outing and collected four digs while Nikko Bersano had 12 points as the Junior Altas top Emilio Aguinaldo College, 25-15, 25-17, 25-15.
Kian Pablo had 14 points, including three blocks, while Zairus Pacure and Jake Pangilinan chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively, as the Braves downed Lyceum of the Philippines, 25-20, 25-19, 25-17.
The boys championship is set tomorrow at the Arellano University Law School Gym in Pasay City.
Arellano and EAC will clash for the right to become the league’s first-ever girls’ champion.
Heart Villa Flores had 16 points, 12 digs and five receptions while Lei Pasco chipped in 12 points and six receptions as Arellano bested Perpetual, 25-14, 25-16, 25-19.
EAC subdued LPU, 25-21, 28-26, 25-18, in the other girls’ semis.
