AT least P925,000 worth of high-grade marijuana (MJ) or “kush” on Friday was seized from a male claimant during a controlled operation by the PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) Central Luzon.

The suspect was a resident of Better Living Subd., Don Bosco, Parañaque City.

Operatives of the PDEA CL, along with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Clark, PDEA-NCR, and the local police conducted the operation of the package containing the illegal substances that came from California and arrived at the Port of Clark last October 24.

The package was declared as a “sweater” but was discovered to contain illegal drugs when it underwent X-ray and K9 inspection.

The operation yielded one package containing at least 588 grams of kush, 45 vape cartridges with marijuana content valued at P925,000, one ID, and a cellphone.

The suspect will be charged with violation of Section 4 (Importation of dangerous drugs) under Republic Act No. 9165.
