THE PBA rigodon continues.

A few hours after acquiring Filipino-American Brandon Ganuelas- Rosser in a trade with NLEX, Blackwater sent him to TNT in a separate deal in the coming PBA Philippine Cup.

Earlier, NLEX acquired Ato Ular and Yousef Taha from Blackwater in exchange for Ganuelas-Rosser.

Ganuelas-Rosser, a 6-6 power-forward from San Diego, California, was selected as the No.l overall pick by Blackwater during the 2022 PBA Draft before being sent to NLEX in a three-team trade that also included the TNT Tropang Giga.

In a trade proposal submitted to the PBA Commissioner’s Office in Libis, Blackwater is set to re-acquire Ganuelas-Rosser.

But to do that, the Bossing will send Ular, Taha, and the Bossing’s first round pick in the PBA Season 51 Draft.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Brandon for his unwavering dedication and contributions during his three remarkable conferences with NLEX,” said NLEX Road Warriors team governor Ronald Dulatre in a statement sent to members of the PBA Press Corps.

“His time as a Road Warrior will forever be cherished, and we wish him the best of luck with his next team. Brandon will always hold a special place in the NLEX family.”

Ganuelas-Rosser played a total of 28 games with the Road Warriors, averaging 8.4 points and 3.6 rebounds in the 2023-24 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

NLEX will get two quality big men in Ular and Taha. to bolster its frontline.

Ular, the 6-5 pride of from Tarlac City, was a member of the PBA Season 47 All-Rookie Team.

The 6-8 Taha, on the other hand, is a 12-year PBA veteran who also previously played for Air 21 Express and seven other teams.

The trade proposal is still awaiting league approval.

Meanwhile, the PBA is coming back home at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium after 13 long years.

And Asia’s first-ever play-for-pay league will be holding not just one but seven total play dates in the venue located inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex for the season-ending Philippine Cup.

The first projected offering at the stadium whose wooden flooring now uses the same hardwood utilized during the hosting of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, will have games to be played back to-back on April 6 and 7.

In a special Saturday doubleheader on the 6th, it’s Rain or Shine against Blackwater and Magnolia opposite NLEX.

Ironically, Rain or Shine and the Purefoods franchise were two of the four teams that last played at Ninoy Aquino Stadium 13 years ago.

Then carrying the B-Meg brand, the Llamados played the San Miguel Beermen in the first game, while Barangay Ginebra clashed with Rain or Shine in the second match during the playoffs of the Fiesta Conference.

The following day (April 7), Ginebra also makes a homecoming as it plays Terrafirma in Sunday’s main game, preceded by the Meralco-TNT tussle.

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial met with Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Richard Bachmann recently to forge the partnership that formally signalled the return of the PBA at the Manila venue.

Marcial said he’s excited to bring the games back at Ninoy Aquino after personally inspecting the playing court together with Bachmann.

Other games at NAS will be played on April 10, April 24, and May 5.

At the same time, there will be two official playing dates to be held at the Caloocan Sports Complex on April 13 and April 27, respectively, after the venue hosted the first game of last year’s PBA On Tour between Blackwater and NLEX.

Games are likewise going to be played at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig, Philsports Arena, and the old, reliable Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Four provincial matches are also scheduled.
