Pasig gives emergency go bags to residents
PASIG City distributed life-saving emergency go bags to every Pasigueno family last Monday during the weekly flag raising ceremony.
Mayor Vico Sotto said every Pasigueño family will receive an emergency go bag. “Sa Pasig gusto natin ang serbisyo natin para sa lahat.
Siyempre inuuna natin yung mas nangangailangan. Inuuna natin yung mas mahihirap kapag may mga serbisyo tayo.
Pero hanggat kaya, kagaya ng sinimulan natin noong 2019 sa Pamaskong Handog, ayaw na natin na dinadaan sa political leader o kapag malapit na grupo, nauuna o mas maraming natatanggap,” the mayor said.
Mayor Vico reminded everyone that every Pasigueño has also a part to play in the pursuit of good governance.
“Dito sa Pasig, itinataguyod natin ang prinsipyo ng mabuting pamamahala. Transparency, participation, accountability. Pero tungo po dyan, lahat tayo ay may bahagi rin. Sana po walang kukuha ng higit sa isa. O walang susubok na kukuha ng higit sa isang bag,” he said.
Each bag contains a flashlight, glowstick, whistle, thermal blanket, heavy duty scissors, zip lock bag, sticker, magnet, Family Disaster Preparedness Booklet and a first aid kit.
Part of the Family Disaster Preparedness Booklet is a checklist on what else should be included by Pasigueño families in their emergency go bags such as clothes, food, documents.
In the sticker, magnet, and booklet is a QR code which, when scanned, leads to an instructional video on the contents and how to use the contents of the emergency go bag.
