Palace reappoints EdPam as CDC Chairman
CLARK FREEPORT – Malacañang has reappointed Atty. Edgardo D. Pamintuan as the acting chairman and member of the Board of Directors (BOD) of Clark Development Corporation (CDC).
This was announced in the appointment letter of Pamituan, signed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. on January 11, 2023.
The CDC, headed by its President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, expressed elation on the reinstallment of Pamintuan as the chair of the state-owned firm’s BOD.
“We welcome the reappointment of Atty. Pamintuan as the chairman and member of the CDC Board. With him at the helm, we are confident that the Board can continuously stir positive developments for the Freeport and for the corporation,” the state-owned firm said in a statement.
Pamintuan initially joined CDC as Chairman of the Board on February 11, 2021 after being appointed by former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Prior to this, he served as the mayor of Angeles City from 1992 to 1998 and from 2010 to 2019. A distinguished lawyer and a dedicated public servant, Pamintuan has 27 years of experience in government service.
His commitment as a public servant gained him multiple awards including the Order of Lakandula – Grand Cross Rank of Bayani conferred by then President Gloria Macapagal – Arroyo on April 2010, the 2018 Presidential Award of Distinction in line with the ASEAN 2017 conferred by the Office of the President, Five-Time Most Outstanding Mayor of the Philippines (2012, and from 2014 to 2017) from Superbrands Marketing International, and the Top 8 among the Ten Mayors of the World, World Mayor Prize 2012 City Mayors Foundation.
