ISANG SF260 Marchetti trainer aircraft ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) ang bumagsak malapit sa Fernando Airbase sa Lipa City, Batangas.

Sinabi ni PAF spokesperson Colonel Ma. Consuelo N Castillo, habang nagsasagawa ng standard training flight ang eroplano sa runway 21 ng Fernando Air base sa Lipa City ay nagkaproblema ito.

Bagamat nasa mababang altitude ay nagawa ng mga piloto na imanIobra ang eroplano sa open area sa loob ng perimeter ng airbase upang hindi makapinsala sa komunidad.

Agad rumesponde ang mga rescue team sa lugar at nagawang maialis ang mga mga piloto sa loob at bigyan ng paunang lunas.

Sa ngayony ligtas na ang kalagayan ng mga piloto.

Siniguro naman ng PAF sa publiko na sinusunod nila ang kaukulang maintenance at operational protocols sa kanilang mga flight trainings.

“While flight training like this has its inherent risks, the PAF assures the public of its strict adherence to maintenance and operational protocols,” pahayag ni Castillo.

“The aircraft is currently being recovered and assessed. Consequently, extensive investigation of the incident has been started to determine its cause.” Dagdag pa ng opisyal.
