IMUS CITY, Cavite – Newly elected Mayor Alex “AA” Advincula immediately signed his first executive order (EO) as local chief executive of the said city, strengthening the government status and policies on transparency and accountability of public officials in the city of Imus on his first day of office at the new Imus City Hall building in Barangay Malagasang 1-G, June 30, 2022.

Advincula also urged the staff of the said local government to return to the original unit to “account” for all the city government employees.

“Kailangan ko po ng inyong cooperation, kapwa ko Imuseños. Kailangang po natin mag-umpisa ng pagbabago at magsakripisyo para sa mahal na lungsod ng Imus, sa dami po ng gagawin sa Lungsod ng Imus, napakaliit po ng pondong inaasahan. Tayo po ay may utang na P2.5 billion – ang Imus, mahirap, ngunit naniniwala ako na malalampasan natin ito lahat dahil kasama ko ang magagaling na bagong liders ng Imus,” Mayor-elect Advincula said in his speech after taking his oath of office administered by Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla.

“Makakaasa po kayo dadalhin natin ang Lungsod ng Imus sa maayos at maginhawang lungsod, malaya pong mag-negosyo ang mga mamumuhunan, pararamihin natin ang negosyo para lahat ng tao sa Imus ay may trabaho,” added Advincula.

Advincula was formally sworn in as the new local chief executive of Imus administered by Gov. Jonvic Remulla along with all newly elected Congressman Adrina Jay “AJ” Advincula, Vice Mayor Homer “Saki” Saquilayan, Board members Arnel Cantimbuhan and Shernan Jaro, Councilors Lloyd Jaro, Yen Saquilayan, Larry Nato, Jelyn Maliksi, Dennis Lacson, Darwin Remulla, Mark Villanueva, Toite Ropeta, Sherwin Comia, Wency Lara, Enzo Ferrer, and Igi Revilla Ocampo.

“Magiging trabaho po natin sa ngayon ay mag-ikot sa mga palengke, eskuwelahan at sa mga ongoing projects sa umaga, then office works sa tanghali and meetings sa hapon. Ganyan po tatakbo ang araw ko bilang alkalde,” said Mayor Advincula.

Also present at the said program were General Trias City Mayor Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer IV, Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen, Pro Friends Chairman Guillermo Choa, Cavite PNP (Philippine National Police) Provincial Police Director Col. Arnold Abad, local police chief Jose Junar Alamo, officials of BFP (Bureau of Fire Protection), BJMP (Bureau of Jail Management and Penology), and DepEd (Department of Education) Imus to provide support to the new officials of such city.
