New CV police director named
A MEMBER of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) ‘Sambisig’ Class of 1991, Brigadier General Roque Edgardo P. Vega is the new director of the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) in Central Visayas.
Vega’s new assignment was approved by Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar following the retirement of Brig. Gen. Ronnie S. Montejo of the PNP Academy Class 1989.
The new Central Visayas police director used to be the PNP Deputy Director for Comptrollership. He used to be a Tarlac Police Provincial Office director, was once an intelligence chief of the National Capital Region Police Office and a Muntinlupa City police chief.
An unassuming and soft-spoken officer, Vega is also a veteran officer of the PNP Highway Patrol Group and was previously the chief of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 7 in Central Visayas.
Montejo was the Quezon City Police District director before he was designated as PRO7 director in December 1, 2020 by then PNP chief, Gen. Debold M. Sinas.
