NBI sues son who beats mom to death, hides body in storage box
THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has charged 28-year-old Raymund Villastique with parricide for allegedly murdering his own mother, Maria Estrella, 67, after an intense argument over money matters.
The NBI’s Anti-Organized and Transnational Crime Division (AOTCD) brought him to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for inquest proceedings on Tuesday, March 14.
NBI spokesperson Atty. Giselle Dumlao revealed on Wednesday that Villastique dragged his mother’s lifeless body to a storage box before loading it into his vehicle. A CCTV footage captured the horrific act.
Villastique eventually admitted to the crime and even executed an extra-judicial affidavit.
According to the suspect, he killed his mother, last March 13 in their house in Pasig City.
Maria Estrella’s remains were discovered in a remote area in Sitio Kanyakan, Barangay Matictic, Norzagaray, Bulacan.
NBI investigators found bloodstains all over the crime scene, which matched Villastique’s confession.
