Missing cop found dead, floating in Lanao river
A ROOKIE cop who was reported missing was found dead in a river in Wao, Lanao del Sur.
The victim was identified as Patrolman Jeffrey Dabuco, 31, assigned at the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10.
Dabuco sustained a wound in the head.
Police Regional Office-10 spokesperson Maj. Joann Navarro said Dabuco was last seen in his quarters at the patrol base.
“Importante na ating tingnan at malaman kung ano ba talaga ang nangyari before, during, and after na nadeklarang missing siya,”Navarro said.
Nine policemen assigned at the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 based in Bukidnon who were with Dabuco before he went missing are now under restrictive custody.
Police are looking into personal grudge as possible motive behind Dabuco’s death.
An investigation is ongoing.
