CALOOCAN City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan held a virtual meeting with barangay chairmen on Saturday afternoon to discuss necessary preparations for the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) on August 6 to 20, 2021.

During the virtual meeting, the city chief executive also talked about the current situation of COVID-19 in the city and the role of barangay officials during the implementation of ECQ, particularly on the re-implementation of color-coded quarantine pass in the city’s markets and supermarkets.

During the implementation of ECQ in Metro Manila last March, only one quarantine pass for one household in Caloocan City was allowed while those who lost their issued quarantine pass can proceed to their respective barangays to get another one.

Mayor Oca warned barangay officials not to issue two quarantine pass for every household to ensure that health and safety protocols will be properly implemented.

Also present during the meeting were DILG Caloocan Director Marco Cabueños, City Administrator Engr. Oliver Hernandez and department heads of the City Government.
