Man stabbed to death by nephew

A 29-YEAR-OLD street sweeper was stabbed dead allegedly by his nephew following their heated altercation Monday evening in Caloocan City.

Caloocan police chief P/Col. Samuel Mina sad Artjhan Mijares, of 57 KBS Compound, Kapanalig St. Brgy. 22 died on the spot from stab wounds in different parts of the body. The suspect, identified as Jefferlon Amigan, 20, also a resident of KBS Compound, is now the subject of a police manhunt.

Investigation conducted by P/SSgt. Rodolfo King Bautista showed that at around 11 p.m., a heated argument ensued between Mijares and his nephew inside their residence for unknown reasons until they were pacified by the victim’s live-in partner, Roselle.

The victim was allegedly stabbed by his nephew while the former was about to throw the garbage along Talakitok Street at around 11:30 p.m.

Mijares, though wounded, managed to run but his nephew chased him. The victim was cornered along Talakitok St. and C-3 Road, Amigan and was stabbed to dearh by the suspect.
