Man nabbed for ‘mauling’ 4 minors
OPERATIVES of the Novaliches Police Station (PS) 4 arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly mauling four minors in Quezon City.
The arrested suspect was a resident of Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Quezon City.
According to the report, the victim and the suspect were buying at the sari-sari store located along Area D, Bgy. Nagkaisang Nayon, when they accidentally bumped each other. A heated argument ensued, but both opted to stop and went home.
However, at about 9:00 p.m. Sunday (May 21), the victim and his three minor companions were watching a mini-concert at the said place when the suspect saw them and suddenly mauled the victim and injured his friends.
Bystanders who witnessed the scene tried to pacify them and sought the assistance of PS-4 operatives, and arrested the suspect.
The adult suspect will be charged for physical injuries in relation to RA (Republic Act) 7610.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Nicolas D. Torre III lauded the prompt response of the PS-4 personnel that led to the arrest of the suspect.
“Hinihikayat ko ang ating QCitizens na ireport ang ganitong klaseng insidente para mabigyan ng leksiyon at karampatang kaparusahan ang mga taong gumagawa ng ganitong krimen,” he added.
