Man held for gun, ammo in Batangas
A MAN was nabbed by joint operatives during the implementation of a search warrant at his house in Bauan, Batangas Friday at 6:20 a.m.
Bauan Municipal Police Station (MPS) commander Lt. Col Karlos P. Lanuza identified the wanted person as Marciano Magsino y Magtibay.
He said Magtibay has a search warrant issued for violation of Republic Act 10591, known as Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
The suspect was captured on July 21 by joint elements of the Provincial Intelligence Unit-Batangas Provincial Police Office, 1st Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company-Special Weapons and Tactics, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Batangas and Bauan MPS during the implementation of a search warrant in his residence in Bgy. San Vicente.
The operating team seized in his possession one Colt cal. 45 pistol with serial No. 252851, one box containing 50 pieces of live ammunition, a body bag, one inside holster, a magazine loaded with five pieces of live ammunition and 20 more pieces of live bullets stuffed in a plastic ziplock, all for caliber 45.
The felon is now detained at the police station lock-up cell.
