Man collared for gun, ammo in Bauan
A MAN was arrested with a gun tucked in his waist while walking in the vicinity of La Correa St., Barangay Poblacion 2, Bauan, Batangas, Saturday morning.
Bauan Municipal Police Station (MPS) chief P/Maj. Allan De Castro said the suspect was handcuffed by his policemen around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, at the said barangay.
Intel operatives of Bauan MPS were conducting a follow-up operation concerning the stabbing incident in this area and chanced upon the suspect.
The man was seen by the lawmen standing near the vicinity of the said stabbing incident and looked “anxious.”
However, as the police officers approached the suspect, they saw the firearm tucked in his waist.
Police recovered one caliber .45 pistol, one magazine, seven rounds of live ammunition, and a gun holster from the suspect.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Bauan MPS lock-up cell for proper disposition.
